Writer's In Action

Have you ever heard about Writer's Workshop? We spend a lot of time reading books by published authors to notice the things they do. After noticing the different elements to craft a piece of writing, we start to put it in our own writing. The last 2 weeks we have been studying Ezera Jack Keets. We are looking at what he did to write a Story from his life. In the next few weeks we will start writing our own. We take time to write everyday. After the mini lesson, I give the author's a goal to try in their writing. Today the goal was to be a good critic to our friends. Check out the great free choice story that Luke wrote and the wonderful critiquing story he wrote! We are becoming wonderful authors!
