Bringing Voice to some FAMOUS AMERICANS!

We spent some time over the last few weeks learning about some famous Americans. The final activity was to make a chatter pic with their accomplishments. Students then loaded them to their See Saw account. Reflection and feedback is so important for learning. Look a this great example of the excitement Hannah got when her mom liked her entry in See Saw! She even wrote her a thank you note. If you need information on how to access your students' account, please let me know and I will send it your way!

2D to 3D

What better way to learn, than to build!  We spent the afternoon cutting 2D shapes and making them into 3D solid shapes!  It was great fun to spread out in the cafeteria and share the learning with Ms. Clark’s Class!

What if?

This week we have been learning about a few Great Americans. Today we thought about what would happen to us (personal connection) if they had not made their contribution to America! Here are a few thoughts about what we thought would happen if Abe Lincoln, George Washington, Thomas Edison, and Alexander Graham Bell had not ever lived. Stay tuned as we turn this into a CHATTER PIC next week!

Who KNEW?

Do you know the best way to tell b from d? We do! Today we worked on using a little rhyme to help us remember. This is a great thing to help you at home as students are writing at home. Thanks Hannah and Zoe for being the models to teach us.

Problem solving is no PROBLEM!

Here is a sample of how we are asking students to solve word problems. When they use these steps, the student can use the mathematical operation that works best for them! Hope you find it helpful.
