More of Using 10 to Subtract

I'm back with more strategies that we are learning, but this time to subtract! Sorry, I left my cubes at school, but hopefully you will be able to understand with my drawn cubes. Last week we learned how to subtract when the part we are taking away (the subtrahend) is less than the number of in the ones place (or the number of ones we have). Check out the video for an example This week we are learning a more difficult way to subtract. This video will show an example of a problem when there is not enough ones to take from and you have to break the 10 apart.
